Huck and Jim's Journey

untitled.jpg

Huck and Jim met on Jacksons Island where Huck had come after escaping the shack where his father had kept him captive. Jim explained his situation to Huck and together they built a shelter in the middle of the island so that they could hide if visitors came to the island. Huck and Jim found a washed up house and a log raft floating on the river. They explored it and they found a man that was shot in the back. Huck and Jim took the things they thought could be useful (including the raft) and left  down the river where their adventure began. As they went down the river they found that it was necessary to go ashore for supplies. On the few occasions they actually did this during the day they found that southern society deteriorated further.

Eventually they meet the Duke and Dauphin two elderly con men who aren't really royalty. They take control of the adventure and Huck and Jim are forced to stop at towns and witness more results of southern culture such as the affair with colonel Sherburn.
